First, the goal is to separate any

decanting can decrease the

slightly 'fizzy' bite that detracts

from flavors on the attack, and

can exxagerate and prolong

rich undertones that may

have been less noticeable.

 

With a tight, underdeveloped red,

decanting can bring new depth and

complexity to an otherwise

uninteresting wine, showing many

new facets of flavor that would

otherwise not be noticeable

without years of further aging.

St. Mary's Parish 7th Annual Wine and Beer Tasting Fundraising Event, "Sip Around The World", begins on November 7th from 7pm to 10pm.

 

Learn and sample the character, complexity and finesse of some of the finest, well-priced wines from around the world.

From crisp whites to supple Sauvignon Blancs! Fellow parishioners, from St. Mary’s Parish, will guide you through a bevy of wine samplings from the United States, New Zealand, Portugal, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Argentina and Australia.

 

You will be the FIRST to taste and purchase the

2009 St. Mary’s Special Vintage!
